My mom called and said there is a card for me at her house. I can't wait to go over tomorrow evening to pick it up!

I completely agree with you on the awful Christmas Shoes. I can't stand the song.

Where did you find the JOY? I love it and I 'need' to find one!

Karen Penny

Sandra I agree totally. It brings me to tears. I have a favorite CD and I intentionally skip this song each time.

As soon as I saw the title of your post, I knew exactly what you were going to say! I guess that's to be expected after all the years we've been together. :-)

Oh we got snow last week, and some last night - but we are getting DUMPED on tomorrow night - nice thing about it is work cancelled a mandatory Tuesday evening and ALL day Wednesday meeting:) That brought me back to life!

I was reading through this and terrified you were going to say your tree fell over:)
That happened to my brother last year or the year before -- and they get a big tree. He called last night and it's 11 feet tall - boy does Amelia LOVE their tree:)

Emily

LOL!! This post made me laugh hysterically because a) I love all those things too, and b) that song is absolutely heinous. I can't stand it.

Love your blog!

Maryellen

HA! I heard that song and I thought of you....now forever I am going to link you to that sappy song! LOL!

Merry Christmas friend!

Rhonda

I'm glad I'm not the only one who changes the channel whenever that song comes on the radio!

What a lovely post! I love that you find meaning in the little things and isn't that what it's all about?
We're having our very first snowfall right now and the flakes are those big, chunky ones. While I hate the cold of the winter, I love all the things that warm me (hot chocolate, big soft blankets, mittens while driving, and my family cuddling on the couch).
