Yesterday was such a FUN day. It was filled with smiles, laughter and a few tears. The day started with Jazzie's awards ceremony. Here she is waiting for her turn to receive her award:
After getting her award from the principal, a hug from her teacher:
Tada!!! Jazzie is a third grader now!
After the awards ceremony, we went back to the classroom where the teacher showed us a slide show of pictures from the past year and where she received her classroom gift. A few tears were shed at that moment. The kids made a poster with messages for next year's second grade class:
Jazzie and her amazing teacher:
The kindergarten teachers were doing their own thing with the kids, without any interaction from the parents. However, I couldn't resist taking a peek into Tahlia's classroom, since I was already at school. Tahlia's teacher had planned a day full of fun activities. When I walked in, she was handing out diploma's to the kids:
Tahlia and her teacher who she absolutely adores.
Tahlia actually cried towards the end of the day, because she does not want to be done with Kindergarten :-) She and I stayed and had lunch with Jazzie. After lunch we went home and got Lily so she could make a trip to Jazzie's classroom. The kids LOVED it :-)
It was a busy, fun and emotional day, but the best was yet to come at the bus stop, when we sprayed the kids with Silly String. I think that the kids were a bit stunned when they first got off. They all just froze for a moment before they realized what was going on. It was so much fun! The bus driver got a kick out of it as well and didn't pull away until the silly strings were emptied.
And just because I thought it was THAT much fun, I want to share the video one more time. Us parents had a great time with the whole thing. You can hear all of us laughing and cheering throughout the entire thing :-)
