We took a trip to Chicago to see Alex and Winnie. We had a great time, even though it was cold, windy and wet. Below are some pictures of our trip. About half of them were taken on my phone, so not all of the pictures are clear, but you'll get the idea.
We left on Sunday, which happened to be our 13th wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary to us :-)
The landscape along I-65 in Indiana was SO boring, with the exception of almost 200 windmills. Pretty cool...
After about 5 hours, we saw the Chicago skyline.
One of the few sunny moments:
Swimming at the hotel...
At the Shedd Aquarium, which was awesome!
Waiting for the bus. Gotta love that mass public transportation. I wish we had more of it here in Cincinnati!
Breakfast at the hotel...
Experienced the perfect latte at Intelligentsia. Pretty, no?
In the hotel room:
Alex works at a very nice cheese shop and we were able to taste some amazing cheeses!
On Tuesday, the four of us girls had lunch at American Doll Place. A very girly experience :-)
At the Museum of Science, which was amazing!
I think this should be my dress for next year's gala:

Such a fun time and so great to see Alex and Winnie. We miss them!
