I just realized it's been over a week since my last blog post. I'm still struggling with which direction to take with the blog. Several people have suggested going into the direction of sharing my Weight Watchers success, tips, recipes and such. I signed up for the Cincinnati Flying Pig half marathon and training started this week. Maybe I'll incorporate that as well. We'll see...
For now here are some pictures taken at the airport last weekend. Not only did Winnie travel to India for school, Matt had to go to India for work. They left on separate flights, but around the same time so that's why we were all at the airport at the same time. I just don't like announcing to the world that I am home alone :-)
I'm thankful that Matt doesn't have to travel for his job too often. We all missed him so much.
Tahlia in particular struggled a bit. In situations like this, all her insecurities float back to the surface. We've come so far in building her trust that we will NEVER leave her, but whenever Matt travels or when I leave for even a day, she struggles. It helped that we were able to Skype.
Jazzie does better, but I know she was ready for Matt to come home.
And the biggest daddy's girl of all was all out of sorts as well. Normally Lily sleeps at the foot of our bed at night, but this week she didn't. She slept downstairs by the window. I don't know if she was waiting for Matt or if she was guarding the house. Maybe both :-) Usually, Lily is wherever Matt is, but this week she sought out Jazzie. I've been watching these two get closer over the past few months. It's been sweet to see.
So now we wait until this afternoon when we will go to the airport once again to pick up Matt. We're all excited ;-)

Thanks for this very useful info you have provided us. I will bookmark this for future reference and refer it to my friends. More power to your blog.

I don't think I have to tell how much of a fan I am. We've been through much of it together - waiting, websites, group chats, blogs, facebook. I know you get it. :-)
Over the years you've wondered how to handle your blog. Stay public. Go private. Stop. Family posts. Weight Watchers. Photography. Whatever. Personally, I vote for random thoughts. That's just how I roll.
Matt's travels are hard on all of you but you handle it so well. Tahlia is much like Erin when it comes to one parent being away for a while. Whenever we travel away from David, she has a very hard time. We handle it much the same way you do but it still hurts to watch her deal with it.

I have been reading your blog for the last five years: through our wait for our first child, through our wait for our second and through our struggles with attachment and sleep issues with our second. Now I find even more inspiration as I have joined WW as well. Thank you. I would really miss your blog if you closed it.

Hi! Just for the record, I have been reading your blog for awhile now, & I have always loved the pictures of events, of the girls, & your life. It is okay if it is random, I love random! So, before you turn your blog to other things, remember that we love your family talk! :)
