Medicine storage

Where do you keep all your medications, band-aids, etc.? Well, I keep mine in my pantry; right next to the organic sticken stock ;-) It may not seem like a logical place, but we are usually downstairs in the kitchen/family room when someone needs something from the medicine cabinet, so I made my own system right in my pantry.

A closer look:

All cold and sinus stuff in one drawer. If you're wondering what that little teapot thing is, it's a Neti Pot and if you don't have one, you MUST get one!

Regular pain reliever in another drawer...

And miscelaneous items in another...

Band-Aids are in a small container with a tube of anti-biotic cream:

I know this is crazy, but I even have an entire "system" just for cough drops. With all the stuff floating around in the air that causes just about everyone in Cincinnati to suffer from allergy symptoms, we go through a lot of them (and poor Jazzie in particular). Cherry cough drops for the girls, regular for Matt and sugar free ones for me.

Playing cards storage solution

We play a lot of games in our family. Incidentally, this Monopoly Deal game is one of our favorites...

The bad thing about playing so many card games is that the box that the cards come in starts falling apart. I used to tape the box or simply put a rubber band around the cards, until I decided to put them in small storage boxes:

I simply cut the labels from the card boxes and taped them to the front of the plastic boxes. Each box holds the directions to the game and some paper and a pencil for keeping score:

The games our easy to find in our sea of other games, they are protected and everything we need to play is in the container. I got my containers at Ikea, but any small storage container will do!

I just love being organized. It's the little things ;-)
