And just like that we are over a week into December already. I am happy to say that my Christmas shopping is 100% done, everything is wrapped and my cards have gone out the door! Now that it's December, we've been doing some fun holiday things. Tahlia and I went to Main Street in our town for some fun activities (horse drawn carriages, cookie decorating, visit with Santa, etc.). It was cold, but we had fun!
We went downtown to watch Santa repel down the Macy's building (so fun!) and to watch a fireworks show afterwards.
Ruby is getting big! She is now 3 1/2 months old and we love her to pieces. She is a really good puppy and it feels as if she has been with us much longer than the 8 weeks that it has actually been.
The other day a friend pointed out that Ruby has a patch on the white part of her fur that is in the shape of a heart. We had never noticed it before, but we think it's pretty special!
Jazzie has really settled in nicely into junior high. She had a bit of a rough start, but I am so glad to see her having fun now. She's developed a core group of friends and that has been wonderful for her. Her work ethic continues to amaze me; making the high honor roll for a fourth year in a row.
Selfie taken by Jazzie:
I love trimming our Christmas tree. Each ornament that we have has a special meaning behind it. Each one represents an important event, a special person, a fun trip or a major milestone. When we were putting the ornaments on our Christmas tree the other day, I pulled this one out of the box:
At this time of year last year, I was browsing on Pinterest and came across a DIY ornament with imprinted hand/foot prints. On a whim I asked the girls if they wanted to make one with Lily's pawprint. I am SO glad now that we did....
And finally, just so you know - Jazzie has informed us that when she grows up se will be adopting from Greece. Yes people, Greece. The reason being that she is really into Greek mythology and she somehow thinks that by adopting from Greece she will learn more about it ;-)
Beautiful pics! Ruby is precious...look how big she's getting! Love her little heart on her chest! Glad to hear Jazzie has settled into middle school too. Good for her! She's an amazing kid!
All the best for 2015
